Abstract
In this study, we will try to explain Toulmin's model of argument in general terms. For this purpose, first of all, we will talk about what the argument is or not; what it means to be open to argument and deaf to the argument; whether the argument varies from field to field; and whether the argument has practical aspects governing everyday communication. Then, we will describe in detail using various examples what the elements such as claim, data, warrant, qualifier, rebuttal, and backing in the layout of the argument are and how they function.
