Concern of Being ‘Self’
In this study, the concepts of “I, ego and freedom”, will be examined within the framework of Max Stirner's books Unique and Property. It will be shown that Stirner offers a different point of view to the debates of individual, individualism and being, which is a debatable topic in political philosophy. The study seeks to answer the following basic questions: Can an individual get rid of all the structures surrounding him/her? Is Stirner's individual isolated entity? Can Stirner's individual be real? Is Stirner's individual who has managed to become an ego hedonist? The first of the basic claims of working with these questions is that the emphasis on “I” which is identified with the ego, which is the basis of Stirner's philosophy, forms the basis of the emancipation of the individual in his world and political framework. The second claim is that being free in Stirner's philosophy is being me. The third argument, Stirner, defends both the concepts of freedom and “I” in a devastating and destructive way. The common purpose of all of Stirner's arguments is to show that one of the main issues of political theory is the concern of individualization, being me, being, being human.
