Abstract
Frege, modern anlamda dil felsefesinin kurucusudur. O, öne sürdüğü pek çok düşüncesiyle, dil felsefesi çalışmalarının gündemini de belirler. O, dil felsefesini, felsefenin merkezine yerleştirerek, felsefe tarihinde bir devrim gerçekleştirir. Bu devrim, sadece Descartes’ın modern düşüncenin şafağında gerçekleştirdiği devrimle mukayese edilebilir. Frege’nin dil felsefecilerini en çok derinden etkilediği makalesi hiç kuşkusuz “Anlam ve Gönderim Üzerine”dir. Frege bu makalesinde ünlü anlam ve gönderim ayrımını gerçekleştirir. Yine Frege, bu makalede, anlam ve gönderim ayrımını cümle, yan cümle ve belirli betimlemeler içeren ifadelere de uygular. Biz de çalışmamızda Frege’nin anlam ve gönderim ayrımına odaklanarak, bu ayrımı söz konusu ifadelere nasıl uyguladığını ortaya koymaya çalışacağız.

Abstract
Frege is in modern terms the founder of the philosophy of language. With asserting a great deal of thoughts, he sets the agenda for studies in the philosophy of language. He gives to the philosophy of language a central place in philosophy and achieves a revolution in the history of philosophy. This revolution could only compare with that of Descartes which was achieved by him at daybreak of modern thought. Frege’s article which makes the most deeply impact on philosophers of language is “On Sense and Reference”. In this article, Frege makes his famous distinction between sense and reference. In this article, he also applies distinction of sense and reference to sentences, subclauses and statements include definite descriptions. In this paper, by focussing on distinction between sense and reference, we will try to reveal how Frege applies this distinction to these statements.
