Abstract
Mekanistik evren tasavvuru Batılı düşünme tarzlarına yön vererek yaşamın bütün alanlarında ciddi etkiler yaratmıştır. Evreni bir makina gibi tanımlayarak kendi içine kapalı bir sistem olarak gören mekanistik anlayışta her şey bulunduğu mekanizma içinde nedensel ilişkilerle işlemektedir. Karmaşık bütünlerin temel yapı taşlarına indirgenerek anlaşılabileceğini savunan mekanistik tasavvur, yüzyıllar boyunca bilimin yöntemi haline gelmiştir. Parçalı, çözümleyici, indirgemeci ve faydacı olan mekanistik bilim, evreni bir makine içine yerleştirilmiş nesneler yığını durumuna getirmiştir. Birbirinden kopuk, parçalı ve cansız bir sistem sunan mekanistik kavrayış doğa bilimlerinin yanı sıra sosyal ve beşeri bilimlere de uygulanmaya çalışıldığında pek çok sorunu beraberinde getirmiştir. Mekanistik evren tasavvurunun kavramsal çatısı fizik alanında yapılan değişikler ile inşa edilmiştir. Kopernik’in güneş merkezli sistemi, Galileo’nin matematiksel yöntemi, Bacon’ın bilimsel metodolojisi, Descartes’ın kesinlik arayışı ile madde ruh ayrımı yaparak ortaya koyduğu felsefi ifadeler ve Newton’ın determinist makina anlayışı mekanistik kavrayışı şekillendirmiştir. Bu çalışmada hayatın tüm alanlarına sirayet ederek anlayış biçimleri üzerinde çarpıcı değişimlere yol açan mekanistik evren tasavvurunun neliği üzerine incelemeler yapılacaktır. Ekonomik, siyasi, psikolojik, biyolojik, toplumsal ve kültürel pek çok alanda belirleyici rol oynayan ve birçok sorunu da beraberinde getiren mekanistik evren tasavvurunun etki alanı göz önünde bulundurulduğunda incelemenin gerekliliği net bir biçimde görülmektedir.

Abstract
In this study, examinations will be made on the nature of the mechanistic universe conception. The mechanistic conception of the universe has created serious effects in all areas of life by giving direction to western ways of thinking. Copernicus’ heliocentric system, Galileo’s mathematical method, Bacon’s scientific methodology, Descartes’ search for certainty and philosophical expressions by distinguishing matter- spirit, and Newton’s deterministic machine understanding shaped mechanistic understanding. The mechanistic vision, which argues that complex wholes can be understood by reducing them to basic building blocks, has become the method of science for centuries. The mechanistic understanding has brought along many problems when it is tried to be applied to social and human sciences as well as natural sciences. Considering the impact of the mechanistic universe conception, which plays a decisive role in many fields and brings along many problems, the necessity of the examination is clearly seen. The main emphasis of the study is on the idea that the mechanistic understanding of the universe is incompatible with the functioning of the universe. It is suggested that turning towards the universe with a view that is more compatible with the nature of things and the functioning of the universe is quite significant in terms of eliminating problems.
