Abstract
Bu çalışma, Alasdair MacIntyre’ın modern ahlak düşüncesine yönelttiği eleştirileri, Friedrich Nietzsche ile kurduğu felsefi ilişki ve Aristotelesçi erdem geleneğini yeniden temellendirme girişimi bağlamında ele almaktadır. Çalışmanın temel amacı, modern ahlakın neden yapısal bir kriz içinde bulunduğunu ortaya koymak ve MacIntyre’ın bu krize karşı geliştirdiği Aristotelesçi çözümün imkânlarını tartışmaktır. Bu doğrultuda Aydınlanma sonrası ahlak anlayışı, bireycilik, duyguculuk ve ahlaki parçalanma kavramları analiz edilmektedir. MacIntyre, modern ahlakın tarihsel ve toplumsal bağlamından kopmuş soyut ilkelere dayandığını savunmakta ve bu durumu bir tür ahlaki felaket olarak nitelemektedir. Nietzsche, bu krizin en güçlü teşhisini koyan düşünür olarak değerlendirilmekle birlikte, MacIntyre’a göre onun sunduğu çözüm toplumsal temellerden yoksundur. Çalışma, MacIntyre’ın Aristotelesçi erdem etiğini Nietzsche’nin modern ahlak eleştirisiyle birlikte karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirmektedir.

Abstract
This study examines Alasdair MacIntyre’s critique of modern moral philosophy in relation to his engagement with Friedrich Nietzsche and his attempt to re-establish the Aristotelian tradition of virtue ethics. The primary aim of the study is to explain why modern morality is considered to be in a state of structural crisis and to discuss the possibilities of MacIntyre’s Aristotelian response to this crisis. In this context, post-Enlightenment moral thought, individualism, emotivism, and moral fragmentation are analyzed. MacIntyre argues that modern morality is based on abstract principles detached from their historical and social contexts, characterizing this condition as a form of moral catastrophe. Although Nietzsche is regarded as the thinker who offers the most powerful diagnosis of this crisis, MacIntyre maintains that Nietzsche’s proposed solution lacks a social foundation. The study offers a comparative evaluation of MacIntyre’s Aristotelian virtue ethics alongside Nietzsche’s critique of modern morality.
