Abstract
Bitrûcî Endülüs’te yaşamış önemli bir astronomi bilginidir. Kitâb fi’l-Hey’e adlı eseri, Batlamyus’a yönelttiği eleştiriler bakımından İslam bilim tarihi açısından oldukça önemli bir metindir. Çalışmamızda, Bitrûcî ve eseri hakkında bilgilendirme yapılacak daha sonra kitabında kullandığı temel kavramlar tartışılacaktır. O’nun birikimsel bilgiye yaptığı eleştirileri, astronomide varsayımlar yerine matematiksel doğruların benimsenmesine katkısı vurgulanmıştır. Bu açıdan metinde Endülüslü filozofların öncülük ettiği bilimsel gelişmelerin Batı düşüncesinde Rönesans'ın başlamasına yaptığı katkılara değinilmektedir. Günümüze ulaşmış tek eserinin derinlemesine incelenmesinin gerekliliği, bizi bu araştırmayı yapmaya teşvik etmiştir. Bitrûcî’nin evren görüşünü ortaya koymak; Batlamyus’a yaptığı eleştirileri ve eklemeleri belirlemek, oldukça önemlidir. Bitrûcî’nin ortaya koyduğu evren modelinin Batılı bilim insanları ve filozoflar tarafından ciddiye alınması ve Rönesans gibi ciddi bir bilişsel, siyasal ve toplumsal devrimin başlangıç noktalarından biri olarak kullanılması imkânını tartışmak istiyoruz.

Abstract
Al-Bitruji was an important astronomer who lived in Andalusia. His work Kitab fi al-Hay’a is a very important text in terms of the history of Islamic science in terms of his criticisms of Ptolemy. In our study, information will be given about Bitruci and his work, and then the main basic concepts he used in his book will be discussed. His criticisms of cumulative knowledge and his contribution to the adoption of mathematical truths instead of assumptions in astronomy are emphasized. From this perspective, the text refers to the contributions of scientific advances pioneered by Andalusian philosophers to the initiation of the Renaissance in Western thought. The necessity of an in-depth examination of his only work that has survived to the present day has encouraged us to conduct this research. It is very important to reveal al-Bitruji's view of the universe and to determine his criticisms and additions to Ptolemy. We would like to discuss the possibility of the universe model put forward by al-Bitruji being taken seriously by western scientists and philosophers and being used as one of the starting points of a serious cognitive, political and social revolution like the Renaissance.
