The Problem of Change of Enduring and Perduring Objects
As seen in contemporary metaphysical studies, one of the issues that philosophers mostly focus on, is the change and continuity of objects over time. When the concepts of change and continuity are considered in the same context, significant problems arise. So, there are two views on how the relationship between the temporal parts is established and how the object maintains its unity despite the change and how the qualitative continuity can be explained in temporally is discussed. Thus, in theory of persisting, we encounter two important opposing views. According to the first, the change is achieved by the correlation of the different temporal parts that are spread throughout the space-time. According to the second, change can be achieved when an object gained some properties or lost them in a single space and time division, and this object exists as a whole in this space and time, not spread throughout the space-time. Accordingly, we will first present a discussion of change between these two views. Secondly, as we have seen in the theory of persistence, changing and unchanging aspects of the temporal parts will be shown and based on this, it will be suggested that temporal parts may have a timeless character.

Time, temporal parts, change, qualitative relation, continuity.
