Abstract

Epistemological and Ethical Implications of Hume’s Political Philosophy
In political philosophy, David Hume, in the debate over the origin of justice, argues for a strong empiricist views in contrast to rationalist and contracting approaches. Indeed, Hume’s ideas about the origins of justice in a historical-skeptic perspective in opposition to the argument of that justice has a rational and a priori basis have been revived again by Hayek and Nozic in the 20th Century. In this context, the article aims to expose epistemological and ethical implications on Hume's theory of justice.<
